A list of specific VueTool scripts and their description is available on the left.
VueTools is a collection of Vue® specific Python scripts which provide extended functionality for Vue. They are designed to work with Vue-6 Infinite, on both Mac and Windows platforms. Included in VueTools is the VueToolbar, which allows for quick access to any of the tools. While each of the VueTools scripts will work within the 64-bit version of Vue, the VueToolbar will not. If you are using VueTools with the 64-bit version you must run them directly from the Python menu.
There are three main components to VueTools: VueTools Manager, the VueToolbar, and the VueTools themselves.
When you purchase VueTools, you receive the VueTools Manager. Use it to install and update your VueTools. The VueToolbar is a special VueTool window which floats above the Vue appication and provides button access to each of the VueTools. It can also be used to launch other third party Python scripts as well. The VueTools are individual Python scripts which run inside of Vue to provide various modelling and scene functions.
The VueTools Manager is a standalone application you can place anywhere on your hard drive. When run, it will automatically check for the latest versions of the VueTools, VueToolbar, and the special wxPython libraries available, and download them with your permission. Once downloaded, you will be prompted to install them in the same folder as the existing Vue-6 Infinite application.
The first time VueTools Manager is run, it prompts you to find the Vue-6 Infinite application, so it will know where to install the wxPython libraries and VueTools scripts. Once identified, you can press the Install VueTools button and the Install wxPython button to unpack and correctly install all necessary files. All the VueTools and support files are located in a folder called VueTools which resides in the same folder as the Vue-6 Infinite application.
It is suggested you DO NOT un-install the VueTools Manager. You will need it to reinstall or update your existing VueTools with new ones.

The VueToolbar is the launching palette for all VueTools scripts. To launch VueToolbar, you need to select Run Python Script... from the Python menu, then navigate to the VueTools folder inside the directory where your Vue application is stored and choose the file: VueToolbar.py
Assuming everything is installed correctly, you will shortly see a floating palette with all the VueTools installed. You can execute any of the VueTools by pressing it's respective button on the toolbar.
The VueToolbar is set to float above all other windows. This way you can leave it open and use it throughout your modelling session. You can also close and relaunch it at anytime.
You can also add your own Python scripts to VueToolbar. Look inside the VueTools folder and you will find another folder called Plugins. You may insert existing Vue .py scripts here and VueToolbar will automatically create a button for them. Use an underscore character "_" in the name and it will be replaced by a space when creating the button. Or, you can create your own button image by making aPNG file with the same name as the script (with .png extensions instead of .py extension) and placing it in the Plugins folder. This is a great way to manage your most popular python scripts.

The VueTool scripts provide users with extreme accuracy in modifying Cubes and Cylinder primitives without decomposing the models themselves. They also provide a number of different modifiers including Rotate, Mirror and Move to Center for selected objects.
Many of the tools have various settings you should be aware of. Please read the manual to learn more about these different settings.
