Create faster renderings with Bake to Polyons

Because many of the Cube and Cylinder functions require solid object boolean operations, it is sometimes a good idea to Bake to Polygons the groups before rendering.

Right-click on a group and choose Bake to Polygons.

You should choose carefully the resolution you bake at. Too many polygons and renders stay slow. Too few and you'll see artifacting occur in your renderings.

Save your primitives

Many times you find creating the right bevel or radius a matter of trial and error. In these cases, you can right click on the primitive and check Hide from Render. Then you don't have to delete the original primitive before viewing your newly greated grouped object.

Replace by Fit Object

If you radiussed a cube or cylinder, and you later wish to 're-radius' it with a different setting, you can always right-click on the group, and select Replace by Fit Object -> Cube or Cylinder.
