FAQ's

Thanks to the many great beta testers of VueTools. Special thanks Walther Beck (Wabe) and David Burdick for their help above and beyond the call of duty!

Why doesn't the Help Button work for Mac users?

Currently, there is one outstanding bug which we hope will be fixed shortly. When Mac users of VueTools click on the Help button, it doesn't launch the documentation. For Mac users, please check the VueTools/Documentation folder for the VueTools PDF Manual.

Sometimes the VueTools don't work

Chances are you may be using a VueTool which wants the viewports to be set in 4-view mode. Try switching to 4-view mode and the VueTool should work.

Does VueTools work with Vue eXtreme?

Yes, but the automatic installer doesn't work correctly for Vue eXtreme. There is a section in the VueTools documentation on Manual installation, and if followed, VueTools should work with Vue eXtreme.

Why doesn't the VueToolbar work for 64-bit PC OS'es?

It's because currently there is not a binary compatible build of wxPython, which is needed to draw the VueToolbar windows. As soon as one becomes available, we will try and incorporate into an upgrade.

Can I use my own .py scripts with VueToolbar?

Certainly you can. Just load them in the Plugins folder inside the VueTools folder. You can also make your own icons for the buttons if you like. Please read the VueTools documentation for more information regarding how to load custom .py scripts in VueToolbar.
